Hiking activities around the Rupakot Resort:

  1. KotBhairab – 25 to 30 minutes
    This is shortest hike place from resort with historical background. It used to be a fort of the King of this area in the ancient time. Now it is a sacred place for both Hindu & Buddhist people with the KotBhairab temple on elevation of 1,150 meter where you will have a 360 degree view of nature. You will clearly see Pokhara city, farmland, jungle, green hills, Annapurna & Dhauligiri himalayan range, Fishtail & Manaslu along with beautiful Begnas & Rupa tals.

  2. Chisapani Danda & Birchok – 2 hours
    Pack your rucksack and ready for hiking to Chisapani Danda with our guide. As there is no alternative, you need to walk 20 minutes on a motorable road to Phalbhanjyang. You will see Manaslu & Lamjung Himal (mountains) with Madi river & green forests in the surrounding. After photography you start ascending to Chisapani for 30 minutes and reach the small beautiful Gurung village. It is a historical place & about 30 years ago Prince Charles (crown Prince of England) did some trekking here and exploited the beauty of nature. Since then trekking in this area is known as Royal Trek. Your hiking continue to the top of Chisapani danda where you will have 360 degree view with Rhododendron & pine forest in your surroundings. This is the top of Rupakot 1300 meters from sea level. You will descend for next 30 minutes and reach another beautiful Gurung village, Bhirchok. It’s hub of village with school, health center, post office, local club, some government offices. After another 30 minutes of hiking down, you will reach the Resort.

  3. Rupa tal to Resort – 3 hours
    You can either start it on arrival day or the next day from the bank of Rupa tal with our English speaking in-house guide. Your hiking starts from danda leaving the Rupa laje below. It’s a small village inhabiated by fishermen and farmers. As your hiking continues ahead with a maginificant view of Rupa tal and crossing a piece of jungle on the way towards Kirakhor.

    Kirako khor mean Tiger’s den. It is said that in the ancient time mountain leopards used to come here to bask in the Sun. It is a small village inhabited by mixed ethnic groups of people whose profession used to be shoe making & farming. As you hike along the Teak forest and enjoying the best view of Rupa & Begnas tals together with huge range of Himalayas arriving to Kotbhairab temple & walk further towards resort.

    It used to be a fort of the King of this area in the ancient time. Now it is regarded as a scared place with the KotBhairab temple, a holly place for both boIn Hindu & Buddhist communities. From top of the hill, you will have a 360 degree view of nature. You will clearly see Pokhara city, farmland, jungle, green hills, Annapurna & Dhauligiri himalayan range, Fishtail & Manaslu along with beautiful Begnas & Rupa tals.

  4. Kirako Khor to Resort – 1 hours & 30 minutes
    You will be driven for 10 minutes to Kirako Khor or walk down approximately for 30 minutes. Kirako khor mean Tiger’s den. It is said that in the ancient time mountain leopards used to come here to bask in the Sun. It is a small village inhabited by mixed ethnic groups of people whose profession used to be shoe making & farming. As you hike along the Teak forest and enjoying the best view of Rupa & Begnas tals together with huge range of Himalayas arriving to Kotbhairab temple & walk further towards resort.

  5. Mayrae Danda-Talbaysi-Rupatal-Bhangara-Resort – 3 hours
    Pack your backpack with necessary stuffs as our guide will take for next hiking route. You need to walk 10 minutes on a motor able road where you could see beautiful Taalbesi village on your left. Start descending further to Taalbesi for 45 minutes where you will noticed mixed ethnic people whose daily occupation are mostly fishing & farming. After approximately 1 hour hiking you will reach Bhangara where you will see Rupa tal & farmland. From Bhangara you ascend towards Resort.

  6. Resort-Dharma Danda-Resort – 2 hours
    You will have driven half an hour to Bhimsen Danda and your hiking starts from here with our in house English speaking guide leaving Rupa lake behind below. After crossing the village inhabited by fisherman and farmer, with a magnificent view of Rupa lake and reach Kirakhor.

    Kirakhor is known as Tiger's den. It is said that in the ancient time mountain Leopards used to come here to bask in the Sun. You can see a small village here inhabited by mix ethnic group whose profession used to be shoe making and farming. As you kike along the teak forest enjoying the best view of Rupa and Begnas Lakes together with huge/wide range of Himalayas arriving to Kot Bhairab Temple. You will spend some time here with the 360 degree view enjoying photography or relax. Finally you walk further 20 minutes to arrive resort.

  7. Begnas Kot to Rupakot Resort – 5 hours
    Begnas kot located on an elevation of approximately 1,100 meter from sea level with magnificent view of lakes, mountains and nature. There is a village of multi cultured people whose daily activities are agriculture and fishing. On top of hill you will visit the Begnas kot temple. Later you will hike down towards a bank of Begnas lake & continue hiking towards Taalbesi.

    Start descending further to Taalbesi for 45 minutes where you will noticed mixed ethnic people whose daily occupation are mostly fishing & farming. After approximately 1 hour hiking you will reach Bhangara where you will see Rupa tal & farmland. From Bhangara you ascend towards Resort overlooking the view of Rupa lake and mountains.

  8. Bird Watching:
    Bird watching can be an interesting experience for bird lovers at Rupakot Resort as it is encircled by evergreen forests with full of birds. Some part of its premises is preserved as forest with a new plantation of wild fruits & berries. Similarly, the resort has provided drinking water & bathing spots to the birds.
